📚 Quarantine Together: discussions + arts + jobs
podcast/book clubs, singing and drawing events, co-working and jobs resources
Good afternoon friends 🤗
I hope you’ve had a pleasant weekend. For those of you who love to catch up with friends virtually but want to spice it up, I came across a video for 15 Creative Ways to Connect with Your People. A few of my favorite ideas from the video:
Have a TED talk watch party or podcast club: Watch/listen to something together and discuss it afterwards. Don’t have a talk or podcast in mind? Go to TED Circle and podcast chat events mentioned below👇 with your friends!
Script reading party: Download a movie script, get dressed up, and act it out with your friends. Drinks optional but encouraged.
5 minute check-in call every day: There’s a pressure to stay on a video call for 3-4 hours with friends you haven’t had a chance to catch up for a while. Instead of trying to find a big chunk of time every month, schedule a time-limited daily check-in call with friends you care about. I have started doing this with my college best friend, and it’s much nicer to keep in touch this way!
Let me know how it goes if you decide try any of these out!
Here are this week’s events lineup. All are free unless noted otherwise.
