😌 Quarantine Together: meaning + creating + calm
meaningful conversations, making something new, finding calm
Hi friends 👋,
Here are this week’s events lineup. All are free unless noted otherwise.
Weekday Events
Meaningful conversations
This week, I want to highlight events that facilitate deeper conversations. These events have wide-ranging topics, from learning how to have difficult conversations to sharing happy stories.
Conversation & Connection session - "8 minutes with a stranger"
If you had 8 minutes to have a conversation with a stranger to connect at a deeper level, what would that conversation be like?
The event will start with an introduction of a few key concepts and tools you can use. Next, you will participate in a safe, friendly, empowered space, where we will facilitate 8 minute rounds of 1-on-1 conversation by suggesting a topic/question for each 8 minute round of conversation. However, you and “the stranger” can choose to have a conversation about something else the two of you agree on.
Tue, Apr 28, 10:30pm-11:30pm EST.
Vulnerability, Communication, Connection with Veronica Kaulinis
Experience an evening connecting with like-minded individuals, using powerful tools & heart-centered exercises so you can have a deeper connection with yourself & others, while up-leveling your communication and listening skills using the power of vulnerability.
Nothing is too "taboo" and your job title isn't important here.
Wed, Apr 29, 5:30pm-6:30pm EST.
Virtual HH | How to have difficult conversations that matter
When jobs, income, and basic needs are at risk, important conversations get de-prioritized, just when you need them most. In this happy hour, we will share tips how to have the conversations that strengthen your relationships with the people who matter most in your life at home and work, especially during this difficult time of social distancing and uncertainty.
Thu, Apr 30, 6pm-7pm EST.
Meaning in the Mess: Who Are You Without the Doing?:
Join a 90 minute facilitated, open circle dialogue exploring how we can connect to meaning while living an integrated life.
We will be exploring questions such as:
What does meaning feel like for you?
What expectations or assumptions do others have about you and your job title?
Who are you without the doing?
How do you want to be known beyond your work?
Our time together will consist of:
Introduction, Mindfulness Practice and Checkin
Open circle exploration of our key inquiries
Open conversation and discussion
Closing practice
Thu, Apr 30, 7pm-8:30pm EST.
Let’s share happy stories with each other! For one hour we invite you to sit down with one happy story that you would like to share. We have a few exercises to help jog your memory if you can't think of one!

Communities
Besides one-off interactive events, there are also communities with regular meetings that you can join! Here are some highlights:
Live virtual writing groups that run in 6-week sprints. TWD is a way of proving to yourself, on a weekly basis and through multiple small wins that you're a writer and producer. If you've always wanted to write and found it difficult to form the habit of writing and publishing, we're here to help you bridge the gap between desire and action.
A community on Slack where book lovers around the world are coming together to discuss what they’re reading. Each book has its own Slack channel, so it’s easy to find other readers, share thoughts and questions, or just sit back and follow the conversation.
Until next week,
